Esso, Exeter opening hours

Review from Cylex

I'm due in court for this services in two weeks, same story poor signage and stopped at the McDonalds - they took nearly 30 minutes to serve the food then I get pinged with a fine! Anybody successful willing to share any information would be greatly appreciated.

A right piss take. Another place to avoid. Pull over for a break and get a fine. Be warned. 30mins max. Camera with photo evidence. Payed up as 60 if done in 14 days.

Just got hit with a £100 fine for parking here whilst visiting McDonald’s as their car park was full, no signage visible, beware

Beware of Euro car parking ticket 'scam'

Exactly the same experience. Bought some things from the Esso service station (who own this land) and got hit with £100 fine for 30 mins. No clear signage that car parking charge applies. Have made complaint to Esso and appealled the ticket.Having read moneysavingexpert website, basically this is a scam - company have rented the land from the services and are sending out speculative invoices. Don't admit liability if you are the vehicle keeper (any contract would be with the driver) and don't pay.For details and appeal letter template, See: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou/p1

Dreadful stopped for a Costa Coffee rested for just under an hour and got a parking ticket for £100.00......I did not check the signage for parking as I honestly thought that 2 hours was the golden standard for any services that are on a motorway / A road ( A38 ) with signage leading the public to said services !?
